Early Years Teacher (Permanent) – Reception
Location: Chatham
Start Date: September
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Chatham on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for an experienced Reception Teacher, with the potential for Early Years Lead responsibilities for the right candidate.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to delivering high-quality early years education and creating a nurturing, engaging environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the EYFS framework
- Foster a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, ensuring all children reach their potential
- Support and guide support staff within the classroom
- Contribute to the development of the Early Years provision (including leadership responsibilities if applicable)
- Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Previous experience teaching in Reception / Early Years
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (desirable)
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Experience or interest in Early Years leadership (highly desirable)
