Electrification and digitalisation are among the major areas for the future transition to sustainable societies. The Department of Electrical Engineering conducts successful research and education in these areas \- including renewable energy sources, electric vehicles, industrial IoT, 6G communication, and wireless sensor networks, as well as research and education in Life Science, health technology, smart electronic sensors, and medical systems. The Department of Electrical Engineering is an international environment with around 170 employees who contribute to important technological energy and health at the Ångström Laboratory.

Duties
- As an E\+ student assistant, you will be involved in tasks including the development and evaluation of the programs (such as objective matrices and compiling course evaluations), as well as widening recruitment and broadening participation within the Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Master of Science in Engineering programs in Electrical Engineering.
- You are expected to engage in initiatives aimed at broadening recruitment to the electrical engineering programs, with a specific focus on increasing the proportion of women in the programs.
- The tasks may vary but will include organizing inclusive networking events and targeted recruitment efforts, such as high school visits or career fairs, to attract a broader and more diverse target group.
- Part of the work will be carried out in collaboration with other student assistents from the aforementioned programs and the E\-section.
Qualifications required
- To be employed as a student assistent, you must be admitted to undergraduate or graduate studies. This position is directed towards students admitted to the Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, with a good academic record.
- The role requires you to work in a structured and methodical manner, and to be able to compile collected information.
- The work involves extensive networking and interactions; therefore, great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
- We highly value personal qualities such as being curious and willing to learn. You must have the ability to work independently and take responsibility, while also collaborating well with both students and teachers.
- You must be able to communicate clearly in speech and writing in both Swedish and English, as well as plan and structure your work efficiently.
Qualifications desired
Prior experience with teaching, course development, or the E\-chapter is considered a merit.
About the employment
Fixed term position, in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance, Chapter 5, Section 12\. Part\-time (10%). Start date: 2026\-08\-31, until 2027\-06\-30\. Location: Uppsala.
