Job Title: E\-Commerce Manager

Working Hours: 37\.5 hrs a week, Monday\-Friday 9am to 5pm – half hour unpaid lunch break

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and hands\-on E\-Commerce Manager to take responsibility for the day\-to\-day management and ongoing development of our website, with a focus on driving online sales, improving the customer experience and supporting wider business objectives. This is a hands\-on role suited to an experienced e\-commerce professional who enjoys having ownership of the online channel and working across the business to deliver measurable commercial results.

The successful candidate will manage a broad range of e\-commerce activities, including product catalogue management, SEO and Google Ads campaigns. You will be responsible for monitoring and analysing website performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and providing insight to support the achievement of key business targets.

Website \& Store Management

  • Take ownership of the day\-to\-day management, performance and content of the website.

  • Manage day\-to\-day e\-commerce operations, including product listings, pricing, promotions and content management.

  • Identify opportunities for cross\-selling, upselling and improving website merchandising.

  • Manage and optimise our online product catalogue, ensuring product information is accurate, consistent and aligned with the overall SEO strategy. The role will primarily involve working with Magento.

  • Work closely with external partners and suppliers to ensure website developments and changes are appropriately tested, implemented and maintained.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to establish new customer accounts on the website, ensuring bespoke product pages are created, and appropriate user guides are provided.

  • Work closely with the Purchasing and Sales teams, acting as the key link between departments to ensure product, pricing, stock and customer requirements are effectively reflected online.

  • Work collaboratively with relevant teams to plan, coordinate and deliver campaigns, promotions and seasonal website activity. Use new products, stock availability, pricing, promotions and customer insight to shape online activity.

  • Manage and update company social media accounts in line with relevant brand activity and marketing initiatives.

  • Own and actively drive online sales performance against agreed targets.

  • Monitor key e\-commerce KPIs including revenue, conversion rate, average order value, gross margin, customer acquisition and customer retention.

  • Analyse performance data to identify trends, opportunities and areas requiring improvement.

  • Develop and implement initiatives to increase online sales, customer retention and average order value.

  • Provide regular e\-commerce performance reports and recommendations to senior management.

  • Maintain an e\-commerce promotional and campaign calendar aligned with the wider sales plan.

  • Support ad hoc marketing activities and projects, including internal communications such as staff newsletters.
The Person:
  • Previous experience in an e\-commerce environment.

  • Competent IT skills, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • An understanding of the importance of high\-quality brand imagery and consistent brand presentation.

  • Strong working knowledge of Magento, Google Ads and SEO tools.

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.

  • Strong analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to interpret e\-commerce data and use performance information to support business decisions.

  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple internal departments and with external partners.

  • You will be highly organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast\-paced and continually evolving environment. You will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise effectively and maintain a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.

  • You will also demonstrate a strong commercial and customer\-focused approach to e\-commerce management.
Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent

Pay: £27,000\.00\-£29,000\.00 per year
