The Grafton Hotel is a 4\-star boutique hotel in the heart of Dublin City Centre, offering 129 contemporary bedrooms and home to Bartley's Bar \& Restaurant. We have built a strong reputation for exceptional guest experiences and consistently excellent guest feedback.
We are looking for a Duty Manager who shares our passion for hospitality and is committed to maintaining the high standards our guests have come to expect.
The Role
As Duty Manager, you are responsible for leading the hotel during your shift, ensuring every department works together to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
This is a hands\-on role where your visibility throughout the hotel is essential. You will be expected to engage confidently with guests, resolve issues quickly and professionally, support your teams, and ensure the operation runs smoothly at all times.
The hotel is performing at a high level, and we are looking for someone who will maintain these standards while continually looking for opportunities to improve the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day\-to\-day operation of the hotel during your shift, ensuring high standards across all departments.
- Be a visible presence throughout the hotel, proactively engaging with guests and responding to feedback.
- Resolve guest concerns confidently and efficiently, turning challenges into positive experiences.
- Support and motivate departmental teams, ensuring excellent communication and collaboration throughout the hotel.
- Ensure every department is prepared and operating efficiently to deliver a seamless guest journey.
- Monitor service standards and identify opportunities to improve guest satisfaction and online review performance.
- Make informed operational decisions while maintaining a strong focus on quality, efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, Health \& Safety requirements and operational standards.
- Previous supervisory or management experience within a busy 4 or 5\-star hotel.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- A confident communicator who enjoys interacting with guests and is comfortable resolving issues face\-to\-face.
- A hands\-on leader who leads by example, supports colleagues and remains calm under pressure.
- Strong organisational, decision\-making and problem\-solving skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast\-paced environment.
- Experience across Front Office and Food \& Beverage operations is highly desirable.
- Experience using Opera Cloud, Alkimii and Procure Wizard would be an advantage.
Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent
Pay: €35,000\.00\-€37,500\.00 per year
