Duty Manager – SuperValu Dalkey
Join a trusted Irish brand at the heart of the Dalkey community. We’re looking for an experienced, hands\-on Duty Manager to help lead our store, delight customers, and support a high\-performing team.
What you’ll do
- Lead by example on the shop floor, ensuring outstanding customer service at all times.
- Oversee daily store operations: opening/closing, cash management, tills, merchandising, and standards.
- Coordinate and motivate colleagues across departments to hit sales, availability, waste, and shrink targets.
- Maintain excellent store presentation: planograms, pricing, promotions, and seasonal displays.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, health and safety, and company policies.
- Handle customer queries and escalations with a calm, solution\-focused approach.
- Support training, rostering, and performance feedback to build a great team culture.
- Proven retail supervisory or management experience, ideally in grocery/FMCG.
- Strong customer focus and a passion for great service.
- Solid commercial awareness with an eye for merchandising and standards.
- Confident communicator who can coach, motivate, and delegate effectively.
- Organised, reliable, and comfortable making decisions in a fast\-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work a rota that includes early starts, late finishes, weekends, and bank holidays.
- HACCP/food safety knowledge and cash office experience are an advantage.
- Competitive pay €38000 to €40000 DOE
