The Role:

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Duty Manager to join our dedicated team in a full\-time position. Reporting to the hotel manager and the operations manager, the Senior Duty Manager will oversee the running of key functions and day\-to\-day operations of the hotel, ensuring the highest standards of guest service, and supporting all departments in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, and a flexible approach to work, contributing as part of our friendly and dynamic team. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, along with a genuine passion for customer service and team development.

The ideal candidate will be fully flexible and available to work both weekdays and weekends. Previous experience in a similar supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry is essential.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To oversee the daily operations of the hotel and assist in departments when necessary.

  • To consistently maintain the correct service and product standards within the hotel

  • Manage and support team members, ensuring they adhere to policies and provide excellent service.

  • To assist in training, ensuring that training is documented accordingly, and to assist in the development of staff.

  • To have adequate knowledge of operating the hotels AV equipment, air conditioning and lighting in all departments.

  • Anticipate guest needs and proactively manage their expectations.

  • To ensure an environment exists which promotes employee morale and encourages the team to have pride and commitment in their area of work.

  • Ensure prompt resolution of guest issues.

  • Monitor billing, payments, and ensure accurate transactions.
About The Role

Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of three years' supervisory /management experience within the hotel or hospitality industry.

  • Possess excellent guest care and service skills.

  • Have a mature, positive, and pleasant manner.

  • A creative and solutions\-focused approach when problem\-solving.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills. The ability to use business English verbally and through email correspondence is essential.

  • Knowledge of hotel operations, including front\-of\-house and back\-of\-house management, housekeeping and reservations.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in hotel management software such as hotsoft and micros.
