Duty Manager
Overview
We are seeking a proactive, hands\-on Duty Manager to become a key all\-rounder within our boutique hospitality venue. This is a varied and fast\-paced role for someone who enjoys being involved in every part of the guest journey — from welcoming guests at reception, to supporting bar and restaurant service, assisting with housekeeping standards, and ensuring the smooth day\-to\-day running of the venue.
The ideal candidate will be a confident team player with strong leadership skills, excellent guest service abilities, and a flexible, can\-do attitude. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a busy hospitality environment and is happy to roll up their sleeves wherever needed.
Duties \& Responsibilities
- Support the day\-to\-day operation of the hotel, bar, restaurant, and events spaces.
- Deliver exceptional guest service across all departments, ensuring every guest receives a warm and memorable experience.
- Assist with reception duties including check\-ins, check\-outs, reservations, guest enquiries, and billing.
- Support bar and restaurant operations during busy service periods, including hosting, running food and drinks, and maintaining service standards.
- Assist housekeeping teams in maintaining exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards throughout bedrooms and public areas.
- Lead by example during shifts, motivating and supporting the wider team.
- Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure health, safety, hygiene, and licensing standards are consistently maintained.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily operational checks.
- Support staff training, rotas, and general team development where required.
- Help maintain a positive, energetic, and team\-focused working environment.
- Respond calmly and effectively to any operational issues or emergencies.
- Set days Wednesdays to Sundays.
- Previous supervisory or management experience within hospitality is preferred.
- Experience across multiple departments such as reception, food \& beverage, housekeeping, or events is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Passionate about guest experience and delivering high standards.
- Comfortable working in a fast\-paced, hands\-on environment.
- Flexible approach to working evenings, weekends, and busy event periods.
- Confident communicator with a friendly and professional manner.
- Multilingual abilities would be an advantage but are not essential.
Pay: £27,040\.00\-£29,120\.00 per year
