Devoy’s Boutique Hotel is preparing to open in Johnstown, Co. Kildare, and we are now recruiting an experienced Duty Manager to join our opening team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident hospitality professional who enjoys being on the floor, supporting teams, and helping to create a smooth and welcoming guest experience across the hotel, bar, café, restaurant, and events spaces.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, bar, or busy hospitality environment, with strong leadership skills and a hands\-on approach.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing daily hotel and food \& beverage operations while on duty
Supporting and leading front\-of\-house, bar, café, and restaurant teams
Ensuring excellent guest service at all times
Handling guest queries and resolving issues professionally
Supporting opening and closing procedures
Maintaining standards across service, cleanliness, presentation, and team performance
Working closely with senior management to ensure smooth day\-to\-day operations

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous supervisory or management experience in hospitality
Strong communication and people skills
Confidence in managing a busy floor
A calm, professional approach under pressure
Good knowledge of food and beverage service
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and shifts as required
A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience

This role would suit someone who is ambitious, reliable, and excited to be part of a new opening from the beginning.

Pay: €36,000\.00\-€42,000\.00 per year
