Job Overview
We are seeking two experienced DSS \& Networking Level 2 Engineers to join our team in Dortmund, Germany. The successful candidates will be based at our warehouse facility and will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations, handling technical staging and deployment activities, and providing remote technical support to field technicians.
This is a long\-term opportunity for professionals with strong networking expertise, desktop support experience, and solid system administration knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform warehouse\-based technical operations, including receiving, staging, configuration, testing, and preparation of IT equipment.
- Provide Level 2 Desktop Support Services (DSS) for hardware, software, and network\-related issues.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain networking equipment and connectivity solutions.
- Deliver remote technical support to field technicians and onsite teams.
- Assist with device imaging, asset management, inventory tracking, and equipment deployment activities.
- Diagnose and resolve incidents related to desktops, laptops, peripherals, and network infrastructure.
- Escalate complex issues to relevant support teams when required.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, configurations, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with operational processes, quality standards, and security policies.
- Support project\-related activities, including deployments, migrations, and hardware refresh programs.
- Proven experience in Desktop Support Services (DSS) Level 2.
- Strong understanding of Networking fundamentals, including:
- TCP/IP
- DNS
- DHCP
- VLANs
- Switching and Routing concepts
- Wireless networking
- Good System Administration knowledge in Windows environments.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and deployment activities.
- Ability to provide remote technical support and incident resolution.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management processes.
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer\-service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network\+, CCNA, Microsoft Certifications, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting warehouse, logistics, or large\-scale deployment environments.
- Knowledge of asset management and inventory control processes.
