Shift patterns: Monday\-Friday 10:00\-06:00

Location: Burton\-on\-Trent, DE14 1PT

Occasional flexibility outside of your core shift pattern will be required to support training, development, and operational requirements.

We're looking for a Driver Development Assessor to support the development of our driver team, helping to maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and performance. Working closely with drivers and transport management, you'll play a key role in coaching colleagues, supporting operational improvements, and promoting best practice across the fleet. A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Delivering driver training, assessments, inductions, and refresher coaching activities


• Supporting investigations into accidents, incidents, and compliance issues, identifying opportunities for improvement


• Monitoring driver performance through systems such as Tachomaster and Microlise and providing developmental feedback where required


• Maintaining training records, skills matrices, and compliance documentation


• Supporting the rollout of new processes, technologies, and digital initiatives across the transport operation

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card


• Have a good understanding of transport compliance, including Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations


• Are confident using systems and technology, with experience of tools such as Tachomaster, Microlise, or similar being beneficial


• Enjoy coaching, supporting, and developing others, with assessor or training experience desirable but not essential


• Are passionate about supporting people, driving performance, and continuously improving how things are done
