We are a family\-run firm looking for an experienced Drainage Engineer to handle domestic and light commercial works across Hertfordshire and London. We believe in rewarding genuine skill, honesty, and reliability with a clear, transparent pay scale.
The Pay Scale (Based on Experience)
- Entry Range (£13\.46/hr \| £28,000\): 1–2 years' drainage experience. Must be solo\-competent in high\-pressure water jetting, emergency unblocks, mechanical descaling, and using a camera to record proof of completed work for customers.
- Mid Range (£15\.50/hr): 3–4 years' drainage experience. Must know how to trace lines using locator equipment and draw accurate site maps for the office, alongside carryout CCTV surveys report and basic repairs.
- Top Range (Up to £19\.71/hr \| £41,000\): Minimum 5\+ years' independent experience. A fully rounded engineer competent in executing advanced structural patch lining repairs solo, holding valid Confined Space tickets.
Strict Depot \& Van Rules
- Shift Start: 8:00 AM sharp at our secure Borehamwood depot. Free on\-site parking for your personal vehicle.
- Van Security: All kitted company vans are yard\-based and must be returned and locked up at the depot at the end of every day. Vans do not go home with engineers overnight.
- Proven hands\-on drainage experience (Jetting \& CCTV).
- Ability to work independently to a high standard.
- Full UK driving licence.
- A reliable daily commute to our Borehamwood yard.
- No Bank Holidays: 28 days holiday (20 days \+ 8 bank holidays off). We do not work bank holidays!
- Attendance Bonus: Up to £1,500 extra per year paid to reward reliability (zero unauthorized absences).
- Fair Hours: Paid overtime available, but we aim to get you home by 5:00 PM.
- Training: Fully funded specialist training (Patch lining, etc.) to maximize your earning potential.
- The Basics: Full uniform, premium kit, company pension scheme, and sick pay.
Pay: £13\.46\-£19\.71 per hour
