Domiciliary Care Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Assistant to provide high\-quality home care services to clients in their own residences. This role involves supporting individuals with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their well\-being within a safe and respectful environment.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and committed to delivering person\-centred care. Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. This position offers paid employment and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming


• Supporting clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times


• Helping with domestic chores including meal preparation, light cleaning, and laundry


• Administering medication in accordance with care plans (training provided)


• Providing companionship and emotional support to promote mental well\-being


• Assisting clients with daily routines while respecting their independence and dignity


• Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems and following care plans


• Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent care delivery


• Driving to various client locations as required, ensuring punctuality and reliability

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence and access to own transport preferred but not essential


• Experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable


• Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans effectively


• Good IT skills for recording information accurately and efficiently


• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written


• Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Reliable, punctual, organised, and able to adapt to changing needs of clients

This role is suitable for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional care and support within the community. Full training will be provided to ensure all carers are confident in delivering safe and effective assistance tailored to each client’s needs.

Pay: £13\.45\-£13\.65 per hour
