Domestic Team Supervisor
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Domestic Supervisor with strong leadership skills and a genuine commitment to maintaining exceptionally high standards within our care home.
This is a hands\-on leadership role. You will work alongside the domestic team while taking responsibility for organising their day\-to\-day work, setting clear expectations, monitoring standards and supporting team members to consistently deliver a high\-quality domestic service.
We are looking for someone who can lead by example, motivate and support others, communicate confidently and take ownership of standards throughout the home. You will need an excellent eye for detail and the confidence to recognise when standards are not where they should be and take appropriate action to improve them.
The Role
As Domestic Supervisor, you will:
- Provide visible, positive day\-to\-day leadership to the domestic team.
- Lead by example and promote consistently high standards.
- Organise and allocate the team's workload and help ensure appropriate domestic cover.
- Support, encourage and motivate members of the domestic team.
- Set clear expectations and provide guidance where standards need to improve.
- Work alongside the domestic team and undertake practical cleaning duties.
- Ensure residents' bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets, communal areas and other areas of the home are maintained to a consistently high standard.
- Monitor daily, weekly and periodic deep\-cleaning schedules.
- Carry out regular spot checks and environmental checks.
- Support the induction and training of new domestic staff.
- Identify areas for improvement and ensure agreed actions are followed through.
- Ensure infection prevention and control procedures are followed.
- Ensure cleaning products are used and stored safely in accordance with COSHH requirements.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is clean, safe, appropriately stored and maintained.
- Monitor domestic supplies and arrange or request stock ordering as required.
- Oversee laundry standards where this forms part of the domestic team's responsibilities.
- Identify and report maintenance, equipment or environmental concerns.
- Complete relevant domestic and environmental audits.
- Work closely with the Registered Manager and the wider care home team to maintain high standards throughout the home.

- Has previous experience in a domestic, housekeeping or cleaning environment.
- Has excellent standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
- Is organised and able to prioritise and allocate work effectively.
- Understands the importance of infection prevention, COSHH and safe working practices.
- Is reliable, approachable and communicates well with colleagues, residents and relatives.
- Understands the importance of residents' privacy, dignity and individual preferences.
- Takes genuine pride in creating and maintaining a welcoming and homely environment.

Pay: £13\.40\-£14\.40 per hour
Expected hours: 20\.0 – 40\.0 per week
