Responsibilities
--------------------
We are currently seeking Domestic Assistant to join our team at Westerfield Care Home in Paisley, Scotland.
This is a PT role with 30 hrs/week.
The role requires flexibility to work as per rota.
To carry out daily / weekly cleaning responsibilities such as \-
- Empty waste bins and wipe out
- Vacuum throughout
- Shake out cushions
- Clean dining rooms / lounges / lavatories
- Clean taps, sinks,
toothbrush holders
- Spot clean all floorings, p
- Clean all pipework in lavatories
- Dust handrails and radiators
- Move all mobile furniture (including beds and chairs)
- Wash out metal wastepaper bins
- Dust and polish furniture and windowsills
- Shampoo carpets as requested by Home Manager
- Dust light bulbs and fittings,

- Restock toiletries, soaps, towels etc as and when required
- Participate in Staff and Client meetings as required
- Attend mandatory training days/courses, on or off site, as and when required
- Maintain professional knowledge and competence Adhere to the Care home's disposal of waste policy
- Report immediately to the Home Manager, or Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a Client, colleague, self or another
- Understand and ensure the implementation of the Care home's Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures
- Reporting of any faulty appliances, damaged furniture, equipment or any potential hazard Ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained
- Ensure that all information of confidential nature gained in the course of duty is not divulged to third parties.
- Ensure the security of the Care home is maintained at all times.
