Dispensary Counter Assistant / Receptionist Jubilee Field Surgery

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Dispensary Counter Assistant / Receptionist to join our village GP practice.

Jubilee Field Surgery is situated in the village of Yatton Keynell near Chippenham.

This is a busy, patient\-facing, front of house position that would suit a cheerful multi\-tasker with good interpersonal skills.

Dispensary Counter Assistant tasks include:

• Being a friendly, first point of contact for patients visiting the Dispensary


• handing out medications


• processing repeat prescription requests


• answering patient queries


• liaising with other members of the dispensary and surgery team


• counting and filing prescriptions


• assisting with stock control


• and more…

This role will also spend some time on our main Reception, answering phone calls, serving patients at the desk, booking appointments, helping to answer patient queries and more.

Previous experience of working in a GP Dispensary or Community Pharmacy is not essential, but customer service or receptionist experience would be beneficial to this role.

Full training for all of the above is available for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will join a team dedicated to providing excellent care and service to our patient population.

Hours for this role will be part\-time across Monday to Friday, as follows:

• Mondays: 08:30 – 1pm


• Tuesdays: 8:30am – 6pm (includes a 1\-hour unpaid lunchbreak)


• Wednesdays: 2pm – 6pm


• Thursdays: Day off (potential for occasional cover)


• Fridays: 8:30am – 6pm (includes a 1\-hour unpaid lunchbreak)
