Overview

We’re looking for a Junior Social Media Manager to join DC Media, a fast\-growing content creation and social media marketing agency based in Colchester, Essex. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, organised, and confident working with social media content, particularly short\-form video.

We're looking for someone to start on a part\-time basis with the view to increase hours as the business expands. Our last hire went from 12 hours to 40 in less than 6 months. You’ll support the team across content shoot days, editing, scheduling, and day\-to\-day social media management for a variety of clients. The role is hands\-on and varied, with a strong focus on creating engaging content for platforms like Instagram and TikTok.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in a real agency environment, work closely with experienced creatives, and grow within a business that is actively expanding.

Duties

• Assisting on content shoot days; filming and supporting production


• Editing short\-form video content


• Writing captions in line with client tone of voice


• Scheduling content across different platforms


• Supporting with content planning and ideas


• Engaging with comments where required


• Assisting with general account management tasks


• Keeping up to date with trends and suggesting relevant ideas for clients

Requirements

• A genuine interest in social media and content creation


• Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or similar)


• Good understanding of Instagram and TikTok


• Strong organisation and time management


• Confident communicating with team members and clients


• Willingness to be on camera occasionally is a bonus, not essential


• Full UK driving licence and access to a car preferred

We work with a range of clients, from property brands to Garages, delivering monthly content days and ongoing social media support with account management and Meta Ads.

Pay: From £12\.50 per hour
