As a Director of Clinical Services at our Edinburgh Hospital, you’ll have a strong track record in leading and developing clinical teams. As well as a thorough understanding of evidence\-based practice and the health care regulatory agenda, you’re able to stabilise and engage teams, driving the standards of care.

As a Director of Clinical Services, you will:

• Quickly understand the clinical challenges facing our hospital and build excellent relationships with all internal stakeholders and external bodies.


• Ensure that we provide safe and effective care through a range of surgical and medical interventions.


• Deliver effective operational management and inspirational leadership.


• Be a role model for excellent clinical governance, providing strategy and direction for our hospital.


• Champion a culture of continual improvements to clinical standards, care and service across wards, theatres, outpatients, pharmacy, radiology, and pathology.


• Always be approachable and accessible to patients, relatives, consultants and colleagues.
