This role is responsible for building and scaling the systems that ingest, process, and integrate data from diverse sources into our platform. You will play a critical role in shaping our data strategy, ensuring reliability at scale, and enabling downstream analytics, product features, and AI capabilities.</p>
<p>This is a highly cross-functional leadership position, partnering with Product, Data, Infrastructure, and GTM teams to deliver high-quality, scalable data solutions.</p>
<p>Please note: We work on a hyrbid basis of 3 days per week in our Dame St. Office.</p>
<h3><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li><strong>Lead and grow engineering teams</strong> responsible for data ingestion, pipelines, and integrations (APIs, streaming, batch, third-party systems).</li>
<li><strong>Define technical strategy and roadmap</strong> for data capture, ingestion, and integration platforms.</li>
<li><strong>Drive scalability and reliability</strong>, ensuring systems can handle high-volume, real-time data with strong SLAs.</li>
<li><strong>Partner with Product and Data leaders</strong> to align on priorities, use cases, and delivery timelines.</li>
<li><strong>Own architecture decisions</strong> across data pipelines, integration frameworks, and event-driven systems.</li>
<li><strong>Improve developer productivity</strong> through better tooling, frameworks, and platform capabilities.</li>
<li><strong>Ensure data quality, governance, and security</strong> across all ingestion and integration points.</li>
<li><strong>Hire, mentor, and develop engineering managers and senior engineers</strong>, building a high-performing organization.</li>
<li><strong>Establish best practices</strong> for observability, testing, and operational excellence.</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></h3>
<h4><strong>Leadership &amp; Experience</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>8+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years in engineering leadership (managing managers).</li>
<li>Proven experience leading teams focused on <strong>data platforms, ingestion, or integrations</strong>.</li>
<li>Track record of scaling teams and systems in high-growth environments.</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>Technical Expertise</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Strong background in <strong>distributed systems and data pipelines</strong> (streaming and batch).</li>
<li>Experience with technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Flink, Airflow, or similar.</li>
<li>Deep understanding of <strong>API design, event-driven architecture, and data modeling</strong>.</li>
<li>Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).</li>
<li>Experience building <strong>integration platforms</strong> (e.g., connectors, SDKs, partner ecosystems) is a strong plus.</li>
</ul>

<li>Strong cross-functional partner with Product, Data, and Business teams.</li>
<li>Strategic thinker who can connect technical decisions to business impact.</li>
<li>Hands-on enough to guide architecture while empowering teams to execute.</li>
<li>Passionate about building inclusive, high-performing engineering cultures.</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Nice to Have</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Experience in SaaS, data-heavy products, or AI/ML-driven platforms.</li>
<li>Background in customer-facing integrations (CRM, data warehouses, third-party APIs).</li>
<li>Exposure to data privacy, compliance, and governance frameworks</li>
</ul>
