Director, Accounting
Summary
We are looking for a Director of Accounting who would lead and optimize the company’s financial operations by:
- Managing global accounting processes and financial reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls.
- Building a high\-performing accounting team and supporting strategic decision\-making.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial insights.
- Ensure readiness for audit compliance.
- Support the company’s growth and operational excellence.
- Manage daily accounting operations including revenue recognition, AP, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.
- Lead the global controllership function and ensure compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
- Own the monthly financial close process and deliver accurate consolidated reporting.
- Prepare financial statements and reporting processes.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application.
- Oversee audits, tax compliance, and liaise with insurance and audit partners.
- Collaborate with FP\&A to align metrics, forecasts, and budgets.
- 15\+ years in accounting, including 3\+ years in a senior leadership role.
- CPA with BS/BA in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred.
- Expertise in general ledger, consolidations, and GAAP.
- Strong experience in software/SaaS or technology environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience with accounting systems deployment.
- Big 4 CPA or Consulting firm experience is a plus.
- Ability to think critically and research ad\-hoc accounting or operational issues.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Successfully managed a team of accomplished accounting professionals.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexible, have a positive attitude, be willing to learn new things and train others as needed.
- Outgoing personality and ability to establish rapport and work efficiently with different business stakeholders.
- Excellent written and spoken English language.
