St. Michael’s House are recruiting a Direct Support Worker for a community based day service for 12 adults with intellectual disabilities.
Full Time and Part Time permanent Contracts available
Located in Belcamp Lane, Dublin 17\.
St. Michael's House is a community\-based organisation committed to providing a quality person centred service and high standard of day service to people with an intellectual disability in the greater Dublin area. The successful candidate be part of a highly skilled creative and motivated multidisciplinary team who provides support to 12 men and women in day service setting and in line with New Directions. The team in Riverside provides diverse models of care to individuals who function within the mild to moderate ranges of intellectual disability and some who have a dual diagnosis in mental health.
There is a strong link between the Riverside team and the multidisciplinary team supports are St. Michael’s House Candidate Information Booklet – Social Care Worker Page \| 6 provided on a 2: 1 and 1:1 to one ratios and larger group ratios as well as outreach services. The goal for all is to engage in meaningful activities and be an active participant in the community.e.
Essential Criteria for Applicants
Previous experience of supporting individuals with intellectual disability and autism.
Have experience of working as part of a team.
Experience implementing positive behaviour support plans.
Have experience of a key working role focusing on promoting independence and community integration.
Excellent communication skills.
A full clean driver’s licence and be willing to drive as part of your role.
Eligible to work in Ireland
The successful Direct Support Worker candidate must have the following FULL AWARD in one or more of the
