Job description: Digital Marketing, Performance \& UX Specialist

Role Purpose

To plan, execute, and optimise digital marketing campaigns that drive student

enquiries, applications, and enrolments, while continuously improving website user

experience and conversion rates.

This is a hands\-on role responsible for campaign execution, tracking, optimisation,

reporting, and website performance improvement in a multi\-intake education

environment.

Key Responsibilities

1\. Paid Media Execution (Hands\-On)

 Set up, manage, and optimise campaigns across:

 Google Ads (Search \& Display)

 Meta (Facebook \& Instagram)

 LinkedIn Ads (where applicable)

 Other relevant digital channels

 Manage budgets to meet cost\-per\-enquiry and cost\-per\-enrolment targets.

 Conduct keyword research and audience targeting.

 Monitor search terms and optimise campaigns weekly.

 Develop and test ad creatives and messaging aligned to intake timelines.

 Scale successful campaigns and pause underperforming activity.

2 Website Optimisation, SEO \& CRO (UX Focus)

 Review and optimise website content, landing pages and course pages to

improve organic search visibility, user experience and conversion rates.

 Conduct keyword research and identify SEO opportunities based on student

search behaviour, course priorities and competitor activity.

 Implement on\-page SEO, including page titles, meta descriptions, headings,

URLs, internal linking, image optimisation and content structure.

 Ensure course and landing pages are structured for Google Search and AI\-

driven search results, while keeping content useful and student focused.

 Monitor website performance and organic traffic using GA4, Google Search

Console and other SEO/analytics tools.

 Analyse user journeys and behaviour to understand how prospective students

move from search and landing pages to enquiries and applications.

 Identify and address drop\-off points within enquiry and application funnels.

 Conduct A/B testing on headlines, calls to action, forms, page layouts and

other key conversion elements.

 Work with designers, developers and the Marketing team to implement SEO,

UX and CRO improvements.

 Review website content regularly to identify outdated, duplicated,

underperforming or poorly optimised pages.

 Support the development of SEO\-focused content and landing pages based

on search demand and recruitment priorities.

 Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, conversions and other SEO KPIs,

and provide regular performance reports with recommendations.

 Ensure website content is accurate, accessible, compliant, mobile friendly and

easy for prospective students to navigate.

 Keep up to date with changes in search algorithms, SEO best practice, AI

search and website user behaviour, recommending improvements where

appropriate.

3\. Tracking \& Analytics

 Ensure all campaigns are correctly tagged (UTMs).

 Maintain accurate conversion tracking across platforms.

 Work with CRM (e.g. HubSpot) to ensure data flows correctly.

Monitor:

 Enquiry volumes

 Conversion rates

 Cost per enquiry

 Cost per enrolment

 Produce weekly and monthly performance reports.

4\. CRM \& Funnel Alignment

 Align paid media campaigns with CRM workflows.

 Support enquiry follow\-up optimisation through marketing automation.

 Help improve enquiry\-to\-application conversion processes.

 Ensure accurate source attribution within CRM.

5\. Reporting \& Performance Monitoring

 Build and maintain performance dashboards.

 Provide clear, data\-led insights to leadership.

 Identify performance issues early and recommend corrective action.

 Track performance by intake (January / April / September).

6\. Continuous Testing \& Innovation

Develop a structured testing roadmap for:

 Creative

 Messaging

 Audiences

 Landing pages

 Explore AI tools for creative generation and optimisation.

 Stay updated on new digital marketing trends relevant to education.

What We are Looking For

Essential

 MBA/MA with Digital Marketing specialisation

 Proficiency with industry\-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma,

Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent).

 Google Digital Marketing \& E\-commerce Certificate

 Meta Platforms Social Media Marketing Certification

 HubSpot Content Marketing / Inbound Marketing Certification

 Semrush SEO Certification

 LinkedIn Marketing Labs courses

 3 years of experience in managing digital campaigns in the education sector

(preferred).

 Strong understanding of GA4 and digital attribution.

 Experience improving website conversion rates.

 Comfortable working with CRM systems (HubSpot experience desirable).

Desirable

 Experience in student recruitment marketing.

 Familiarity with marketing automation tools.

 Experience using Looker Studio, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.

 Strong UX/UI understanding and CRO experience.
