Key Responsibilities
If youre passionate about creating engaging content, and you want to work on high profile world\-changing issues, this is the job for you.
This role is a unique opportunity to form the visual identity of our departments brand and influence the creative direction for campaigns that tell the stories of how science and technology have the power to impact millions of lives. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and support the delivery of high\-quality, innovative design solutions across a variety of platforms, with a primary focus on creating content for our digital social media channels and also help the implementation of cross\-government campaigns.
So, what does the job entail?
As a Digital Content Producer, your expertise in graphic design and motion graphics will play a crucial role in shaping our digital communication through creative, effective visual design, that builds on the DSIT branding.
You will be working within the Digital Communications team within DSITs Communications Directorate. Key to success in this role will be an understanding of the science and technology audiences and producing graphic design that can be both target these sectors while at the same time offer wide appeal to the general public. You will be expected to design and manage clear, bold graphics and branding that is easy to understand, and is strongly associated with the department and sub departments.

Essential Criteria
- Experience: We are looking for talented graphic designer with some experience in motion graphics and animation who can bring creativity and versatility to our team. Our ideal candidate will have the skills or eager to learn leading graphic design and animation projects and collaborating with videographers to support their production with motion graphics elements.
- Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing a range of digital, motion graphics and multimedia projects, demonstrating examples of high impact, digital\-first creative solutions.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro) and other related applications.
- Brand Strategy: A keen understanding of brand strategy and how to translate complex ideas into visually compelling narratives.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for layout, typography, and design consistency.
- Project Management: Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and lead multiple projects in a fast\-paced environment.
- Leadership: Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Creative Vision: A passion for design with the ability to think innovatively and deliver creative solutions to challenges.
Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge in design applications outside of the Adobe Suite.

Alongside your salary of £36,735, Department for Science, Innovation \& Technology contributes £10,642 towards you being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme. Find out what benefits a Civil Service Pension provides.
