Our Fermoy, Ireland, facility is FDA registered and certified to ISO ISO13485:2016 for the manufacture of high\-quality PCBAs, subassemblies and complete devices up to and including Class III medical devices.
Sanmina Fermoy’s core specialization is manufacturing automation. We provide services for the entire product lifecycle from New Product Introduction (NPI), prototyping and process validation to complex volume manufacturing \& test, shipping and repair. We create a state\-of\-the\-art environment for manufacturing medical and other high\-quality devices. OBJECTIVES OF POSITION:
- Manages the activities and personnel associated with providing technical services to internal customers by identifying, prioritizing and confirming resolution of reported problems with desktop, laptop and networked systems.
- Administration and support for ESX Virtual Servers and Cloud based data storage and backups.
- Procurement of I.T. related equipment.
- Management and planning of all corporate networks within the plant.
- Liaising with Corporate I.T. group, development of macros and other software based systems to automate processes, reduce labor and eliminate opportunity for errors.
- Ensure that all phases of desktop support, including installations, upgrades, software, hardware, operating systems and operating system configuration issues, are properly coordinated, monitored, tracked and resolved.
- Oversees maintenance of infrastructure for data integrity and security for desktop systems.
- Develops information technology projects and provides strategic management and objectives for the department.
- Manage training programs designed to educate an organizations computer users about basic computer use and specialist applications.
- Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the effective operation of the function.
- Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Health \& Safety Legislation and Regulations.
- Ability to meet project deadlines.
- Downtime minimization.
Qualifications and experience:
- Degree / Diploma or equivalent.
- 8 years \+ relevant experience in a similar industry.
- 3\-5 years people management experience.
- High level programming language.
- Familiarity with network / protocols.
- High attention to detail, Analytical thinking and structured problem solving.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to compliance and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work without close supervision.
- Self starter.
- Work as part of a team.
