Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to support the daily operations of our early childhood education centre. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children and fostering a nurturing environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of young children while supporting the nursery team in delivering high\-quality care and education.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily nursery operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age\-appropriate activities that promote children's development.

  • Supervise and motivate nursery staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective teamwork.

  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene within the nursery environment.

  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through excellent communication skills.

  • Contribute to the organisation of staff rotas, training sessions, and staff meetings.

  • Assist with administrative duties such as record keeping, attendance monitoring, and reporting as required.

  • Support children's behavioural development by implementing consistent behaviour management strategies.

  • Drive nursery vehicles when necessary for outings or errands, adhering to all safety regulations.
Experience
  • Proven management or supervisory experience within a childcare or nursery setting.

  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

  • Experience working directly with children in early childhood education or childcare environments.

  • Knowledge of early years curriculum frameworks and child development principles.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

  • Previous nursery experience is highly desirable.

  • Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children or supplies as needed. This position requires a committed professional who is organised, compassionate, and eager to contribute positively to our nursery community. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting our mission to provide a safe, stimulating environment where children can thrive and learn through play.
Pay: £35,000\.00\-£39,000\.00 per year
