Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to support the daily operations of our early childhood education centre. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children and fostering a nurturing environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of young children while supporting the nursery team in delivering high\-quality care and education.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily nursery operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age\-appropriate activities that promote children's development.
- Supervise and motivate nursery staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective teamwork.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene within the nursery environment.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through excellent communication skills.
- Contribute to the organisation of staff rotas, training sessions, and staff meetings.
- Assist with administrative duties such as record keeping, attendance monitoring, and reporting as required.
- Support children's behavioural development by implementing consistent behaviour management strategies.
- Drive nursery vehicles when necessary for outings or errands, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Proven management or supervisory experience within a childcare or nursery setting.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Experience working directly with children in early childhood education or childcare environments.
- Knowledge of early years curriculum frameworks and child development principles.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Previous nursery experience is highly desirable.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children or supplies as needed.
