We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager with Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification to join our reputable care home. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the management team, ensuring the delivery of high\-quality care, and supervising nursing staff. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with a background in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care to contribute to the wellbeing of our residents. The Deputy Manager will be responsible for assisting with care plans, medication administration, and overseeing daily operations within a compassionate and person\-centred setting.
Responsibilities
- Support the Home Manager in the day\-to\-day running of the care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and company policies.
- Supervise and lead nursing staff, providing guidance and mentorship to promote professional development.
- Assist in the development and review of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
- Oversee medication administration processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, responding promptly to any changes or concerns.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and infection control are maintained throughout the facility.
- Support staff training programmes and organise supervision sessions to uphold best practices in senior care.
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that promotes dignity, independence, and quality of life for residents.
- Liaise effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Proven experience in nursing within assisted living or nursing home settings, with strong knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in a care environment.
- Excellent understanding of care planning processes and medication administration procedures.
- Compassionate approach with a genuine passion for senior care and supporting vulnerable adults.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with residents’ families, staff members, and external professionals.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and best practices in eldercare settings.
- Ability to motivate teams whilst maintaining high standards of resident care at all times.
Pay: £45,000\.00\-£47,000\.00 per year
