Deputy Manager

We are recruiting an experienced Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager within our Good and Outstanding Ofsted\-rated children’s homes. You will play a key leadership role in the daily management of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance, while supporting and developing the staff team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident senior practitioner ready to take the next step into management within a supportive and well\-led organisation.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the Registered Manager in the day\-to\-day running of the children’s home
· Lead shifts and provide effective supervision and guidance to staff
· Ensure high\-quality, child\-centred care in line with company policies and Ofsted regulations
· Oversee the implementation and review of care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
· Support staff development, training, induction, and mentoring
· Ensure accurate record keeping, reporting, and regulatory compliance
· Manage safeguarding concerns in line with legislation and local procedures
· Work closely with external professionals including social workers, education, and health services
· Act as Designated Manager in the Manager’s absence

Requirements
✅ Full UK driving licence (essential)✅ Right to work in the UK✅ Enhanced DBS✅ Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep\-ins✅ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)✅ Significant experience working in a children’s residential setting✅ Experience leading shifts and supporting staff practice
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership \& Management (or willingness to work towards) is desirable.
