As part of our continued development, we are seeking an experienced Nurse‑Qualified Deputy Manager to join our leadership team.
The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the home, ensuring high standards of clinical practice, regulatory compliance, and effective staff leadership. You will act as a role model for best practice, contribute to a positive culture, and help drive continuous improvement across the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and operational support to the Registered Manager
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the nursing and care teams
- Ensure full compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding requirements, and company policies
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and clinical governance processes
- Support rota planning, staff development, and performance management
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
- Contribute to audits, quality monitoring, and service improvement initiatives
- Deputise for the Registered Manager as required
We are looking for someone who is:
- A Registered Nurse (NMC‑registered) – this is essential
- Experienced in leading teams within a nursing home or similar setting
- Confident in managing day‑to‑day operations and clinical decision‑making
- Knowledgeable about CQC regulations and best practice in adult social care
- Organised, proactive, and able to work under pressure
- Compassionate, professional, and committed to delivering excellent care
- Skilled in communication, problem‑solving, and leadership
- Registered Nurse (NMC) – mandatory
- Previous experience in a senior role (Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, Unit Manager)
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health \& Social Care (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards it)
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and care planning

Job Type: Full\-time
Pay: £25\.60 per hour
