Job Title: Deputy Manager – Children \& Young Adults (Disabilities \& Behaviours that Challenge)
Location: Oswaldtwistle / Knuzden
Salary: £16\.50\-£17\.25\.

About the Role

We are looking for dedicated, compassionate, and resilient Deputy Manager to join our team, supporting children and young adults with disabilities, autism and challenging behaviours.

We operate across two services:

  • Oswaldtwistle – a respite centre for children and young adults with disabilities and challenging behaviours

  • Knuzden – an adult care home supporting young people/adults with disabilities and challenging behaviours (You will be based at this service)
Working Pattern
  • Flexible working between 7am\-9pm(Monday\-Friday) including office based hours

  • Sleep\-in duties required

  • Wake and watch shifts are covered by a dedicated team, but you may occasionally be required to cover in their absence (this is rare)

  • Contract available 40 hours (full\-time) per week

  • Weekend work when required

  • On call rota
Key Responsibilities
  • Key understanding of CQC, Health and Social Care Act, Care Act and Mental Capacity Act.

  • Deliver high\-quality, person\-centred care in line with individual care plans

  • Support with daily living tasks including personal care, meal preparation, and routines

  • Build positive and trusting relationships with children and young adults

  • Manage and respond to challenging behaviours using appropriate strategies and de\-escalation techniques

  • Encourage independence, life skills, and engagement in education and activities

  • Maintain accurate records, including daily notes and incident reports

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals

  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people

  • Administer medication in line with company procedures

  • Follow all health \& safety and safeguarding policies

Requirements
  • Previous experience in CQC care/support setting have experience around the regulations and fundamental standards is essential

  • Experience supporting individuals with disabilities and/or challenging behaviours is advantageous

  • Level 3 in Health \& Social Care essential

  • Level 5 Leadership and Management Adult Social Care or willingness to complete desirable

  • A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential

  • Willingness to drive company vehicles (you will not be required to use your own vehicle)

  • Enhanced DBS check
Pay \& Benefits
  • £16\.50 \- £17\.25 per hour
