Dental Therapist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Therapist to join our dental team. The successful candidate will provide a range of preventive and restorative dental services under the supervision of a dentist. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your clinical skills, including knowledge of anatomy, and medical imaging, to improve patient oral health. Responsibilities

• Conduct oral health assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising dentists


• Perform preventive treatments such as scaling, polishing, and fluoride applications


• Assist in restorative procedures including fillings and extractions as authorised


• Operate medical imaging equipment to capture accurate diagnostic images


• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post\-treatment care


• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with legal and organisational standards


• Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and health \& safety regulations

Experience

• Previous experience working as a Dental Therapist or within a similar dental support role is desirable


• Knowledge of medical imaging techniques utilised in dental diagnostics is preferred


• Strong understanding of human anatomy, particularly oral and maxillofacial regions, is essential


• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple patient cases efficiently
