Dental Nurse
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will support dentists during procedures, provide excellent patient care, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
- Provide patients with pre\- and post\-treatment instructions and support
- Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with data protection regulations
- Sterilise and disinfect dental instruments and equipment in line with health and safety standards
- Support administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and managing patient correspondence
- Ensure the clinical environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with infection control protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures clearly and addressing any concerns
- Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare or dental setting is preferred
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication with patients and team members
- Basic knowledge of nursing principles applicable to dental care
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in dental nursing are desirable but not essential for entry\-level candidates willing to train on the job
