Dental Nurse/Receptionist

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, professional and positive Dental Receptionist/ Dental Nurse to join our team. Skills

• GDC qualified nurse (preferred)


• Positive, friendly, patient centred and a compassionate nature essential


• Applicants should be hardworking, reliable and demonstrate good organisational skills


• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written


• A ‘can do’ attitude is necessary and applicants should be able to adapt to changing environments


• Ability to work well in a team whilst also demonstrating independence when required.


• Basic IT proficiency for managing appointment systems and electronic records


• A commitment to helping grow the practice and carry out compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and assist with their check\-in and check\-out procedures


• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are sterilised and ready for use


• Support dentists during procedures, including passing instruments and maintaining patient comfort


• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and confidentiality regulations at all times


• Provide excellent patient care by explaining treatments, answering queries, and offering reassurance


• Manage appointment scheduling efficiently using IT systems, ensuring optimal utilisation of the practice’s timetable


• Handle administrative tasks such as updating patient records, processing payments, and managing correspondence


• Maintain a clean, organised reception area in accordance with health and safety standards
