We are looking for a friendly, organised and motivated Dental Nurse / Receptionist to join our team at Clifton Road Dental Practice in Rugby.
This is a varied role combining dental nursing and reception duties. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with patients, works well as part of a team and can help ensure the smooth day\-to\-day running of the practice.
Applicants with previous dental practice management, supervisory or senior nursing experience will be given preference.
Main Responsibilities
- Assisting dentists and clinicians during dental procedures
- Preparing surgeries and ensuring instruments and materials are ready
- Maintaining high standards of infection prevention and cross\-contamination control
- Decontamination and sterilisation of instruments
- Welcoming patients and providing a friendly and professional experience
- Answering telephone calls, emails and patient enquiries
- Booking and managing appointments
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Taking payments and carrying out general reception duties
- Explaining appointments, treatment arrangements and relevant practice information to patients
- Supporting the smooth running of the daily appointment book
- Monitoring stock and helping with ordering where required
- Supporting other members of the team when necessary
- Assisting with general practice administration
- Helping maintain high standards of patient care and customer service
- Previous dental nursing and/or dental reception experience is preferred
- GDC registration is preferred for applicants undertaking dental nursing duties
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident telephone manner
- Good organisational and administrative skills
- Comfortable using computers and dental practice software
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
