Dental Nurse: Full\-Time or Part\-Time position considered.
Part\-Time role would ideally include Mondays and Fridays.
Applicants at all levels considered, however a full qualified and GDC registered dental nurse is desired.

We are a small independent 2\-surgery dental practice has a reputation for providing excellent care.
Current team consists of 1 long\-standing full\-time dentist and 1 part\-time dental therapist. Another long\-standing dentist is currently on maternity leave, due to return part\-time later 2026\. Our male, principal dentist has been the practice owner for 16 years.
Current support team consists of: 1 part\-time Practice Manager/Lead Receptionist, 1 full\-time head nurse, 1 part\-time dental nurse with extended duties and 1 full\-time trainee.
All dental nurses are also expected to be competent at reception and decontamination duties.
Your Role
As a Dental Nurse, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our practice and delivering outstanding care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting dentists during procedures.
- Providing chairside support and patient reassurance.
- Preparing and sterilizing instruments.
- Maintaining accurate patient records.
- Following cross\-infection control protocols.
- Ensuring patients feel comfortable and well\-informed about their treatments.
Experience in an NHS practice is desirable but not essential.
Current available hours:
Monday 08:45 \- 12:30, 13:30 \- 17:15 (3\.75hrs \+ 3\.75hrs \= 7\.5hrs)
Tuesday, 08:45 \- 12:30, 13:30 \- 17:15 (3\.75hrs \+ 3\.75hrs \= 7\.5hrs).
Wednesday, early start 08:15 \- 12:30, 13:30 \- 17:15 (4\.25hrs \+ 3\.75hrs \= 8hrs).
Thursday, late night 08:45 \- 13:30, 14:30 \- 19:15 (4\.75hrs \+ 4\.75hrs \= 9\.5hrs).
Friday, half day 08:45 \- 13:45 (5hrs).
(Current maximum full time hours: 37\.5 hrs/wk)
Potentially opening Friday afternoons in future, also potentially opening occasional Saturdays in future.

Clayton Brook Dental is a long established, family owned dental practice. Current ownership has been in place since 2009\.
We are a small mixed practice; our patient base (mainly NHS) is generally very well maintained. We achieve a manageable 7,000 units of dental activity a year.
The practice is family orientated and provides routine dental care to a diverse community of approximately 2250 patients. We see a full range of patients from very young children to elderly patients.
The practice is situated south of Preston, within 5 minutes drive from major motorways links M6 (J29\), M65 (J2\) and M61 (J9\). You can find us between Preston, Blackburn, Leyland and Chorley.
Local amenities include: Morrisons Daily (convenience store, newsagent), Post Office, Whittlebrook Pharmacy, Doctor's surgery, fish \& chip shop, kebab shop, church, café, hairdresser and barber. Also within 5 min drive are: Esso/Spar/Subway, local library, Burger King, B\&Q, Starbucks, McDonald's, supermarkets: Lidl, ASDA (Clayton Green), Aldi and Sainsbury's (Bamber Bridge).
Uniform and footwear provided by practice. Annual CPD requirements funded by practice. GDC ARF funded by practice after 1st year of service (pro rata). Annual Blue Light Card membership. Clayton Brook Dental has been computerized since 2009\. We have five workstations that run the dental software SFD (Systems For Dentists): two at reception, one in each surgery and one in the office. The practice offers digital radiography via a phosphor plate system and a Durr VistaScan Mini x\-ray scanner.
Actual salary is negotiable, dependent on ability/experience.
(Trainee Dental Nurse on an approved training course with less than 12 months experience: £8\.05/hr.)
(Trainee Dental Nurse on an approved training course with over 12 months experience: £9\.55/hr.)
(Recently qualified, GDC registered Dental Nurse: £12\.95/hr.)
(Dental Nurse, more than 2 years post\-registration: £13\.95/hr.)
