Dental Hygienist - Maternity Cover

We are looking for a friendly, professional and patient\-focused Dental Hygienist to join our team from November 2026, providing maternity cover at our busy, growing private dental practice.
*This is a hygiene\-only position \- there is no requirement to provide dental therapy.*
We appreciate that flexibility is important, so we are very happy to discuss different working arrangements. We are looking for approximately 1\-2 days per week between Monday and Friday, but these do not necessarily need to be full days.

The position will initially be on a maternity cover basis from November 2026, with the possibility of an ongoing position afterwards as the practice continues to grow.
About us
Deeside Dental Surgery is a well\-established, family\-run fully private and Denplan dental practice in Connah's Quay, North Wales, approximately 5 miles from Chester.
The practice has undergone significant investment and development, with modern surgeries, digital workflows and a continued focus on improving the experience for both our patients and our team.
We have a busy and established hygiene service and a growing private patient base. Preventative care is an important part of our approach, and you will be working alongside a friendly and experienced team of dentists, nurses, hygienists and reception staff.
We aim to provide a supportive, friendly and relaxed working environment where everyone works together and enjoys being part of the practice.
The Role
*You will provide dental hygiene care to our private and Denplan patients, including:*
- Routine scale and polish appointments
- Periodontal/advanced hygiene appointments
- Airflow Hygiene
- Oral hygiene instruction and preventative advice
- Maintaining accurate clinical records
- Working closely with our dentists and wider team to provide excellent continuity of care
About you:
- GDC registered Dental Hygienist (or equivalent)
- UK experience is required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient\-focused, and a great team player
- Committed to clinical excellence and continuous development
