THE ROLE

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. You will work alongside our dentists, hygienists and wellness practitioners, supporting a broad range of procedures \- from routine examinations and hygiene treatments to restorative work, cosmetic dentistry and laser\-assisted procedures. This is a hands\-on role that requires clinical confidence, excellent patient communication and a genuine commitment to high standards of care.

This position is well suited to both GDC\-registered dental nurses and those currently completing their qualification. Full induction and ongoing clinical support will be provided.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist clinicians across a range of procedures including restorative, cosmetic, periodontal and laser\-assisted treatments, ensuring smooth four\-handed dentistry throughout


• Prepare and decontaminate treatment rooms in line with HTM 01\-05 and the practice's infection control protocols


• Support patients throughout their appointment \- explaining what to expect, providing reassurance and monitoring for signs of anxiety or discomfort


• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using the practice management system (Dentally)


• Assist with stock management, equipment checks and the general organisation of the clinical environment


• Support the wider team with scheduling, patient communications and administrative tasks as required


• Adhere to all CQC, GDC and practice governance requirements

• GDC registration as a qualified dental nurse


• A genuinely caring, patient\-focused manner with the ability to put nervous patients at ease


• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work methodically in a busy clinical environment


• Good communication skills \- written and verbal \- with a professional and approachable manner


• Confidence using digital systems; experience with Dentally or similar practice management software is an advantage


• An interest in working within a multidisciplinary and aesthetics\-focused setting is desirable


• Reliability, punctuality and a collaborative approach to teamwork
