We provide specialist, person\-centred day services for people living with dementia. Our aim is simple: to create meaningful, enjoyable and purposeful days where every individual feels valued, supported and included.

About the role
As a Dementia Activities Support Worker, you will help create a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment for our service users.
You will:
- Support the day\-to\-day running of our dementia day clubs.
- Plan and participate in meaningful activities that stimulate service users physically, mentally and socially.
- Encourage independence, choice and confidence.
- Build positive relationships with service users and encourage social interaction.
- Support individuals with their personal care needs when required.
- Prepare simple refreshments and light meals and assist with clearing and washing up.
- Read and follow individual care plans, life stories and activity checklists.
- Monitor and report any changes in a service user's physical or emotional wellbeing.
- Help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
- Keep accurate records of activities and support provided.
- Work closely with colleagues, volunteers and visitors.
- Attend team meetings and contribute ideas to improve the service.
- Respect confidentiality, privacy and dignity at all times.
You don't necessarily need previous care experience. We are looking for people with the right attitude, personality and commitment to making a difference.

A full UK driving licence is desirable, particularly as you may occasionally be required to travel between our day club locations or assist with transporting service users.

Job Types: Part\-time, Temporary to Permanent, Zero Hours Contract
Hours: Approximately 6\-18 hours per week
Location: Sutton Coldfield and surrounding day club locations
Work Location: In person
Applicants must be willing to travel to our different day club locations when required.
