We are looking for a Care Assistant to join our team providing care for a lovely lady living with dementia in the family home in Taunton (TA1\).

*As a* *Dementia Care Assistant* *you will be required to provide care throughout the day..*
*Tasks such as companionship and activities, personal care, administration of medication and household management will be required.*
She likes music, sensory activities and enjoys nothing better than a summers afternoon in the garden.
The individual you will be supporting is living with dementia and may display behaviours that can be challenging at times, including confusion, anxiety, or distress.
Applicants must have experience in dementia care and feel confident responding to and supporting these behaviours in a calm, patient, and person\-centred manner.
It is essential you have a caring nature, good communication skills and really want to make a difference. You must also be self motivated and reliable.
Criteria:
Able to work a mixture of morning and afternoon shifts
08:00\-15:00
14:00\-20:00
MUST be able to work every other weekend
\* Good communication skills (fluent in written and spoken English)
\* A caring nature
\* Experience in providing dementia care
\* Ability to work with minimal supervision
