Delivery Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.

Candidate must currently have the use of their own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Operate delivery vehicles, including vans, to transport goods to designated locations.


• Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety protocols, including heavy lifting when necessary.


• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance issues promptly.


• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation for all shipments.


• Communicate effectively with staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.


• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, with a valid commercial driving licence preferred.


• Strong ability to drive various types of vehicles, including vans, with a focus on safety.


• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members effectively.


• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required during loading and unloading processes.


• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record\-keeping and vehicle maintenance checks.

Job Types: Full\-time, Part\-time, Permanent, Temporary, Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £12\.71\-£13\.00 per hour
