Local Delivery Driver / Order Picker – Weston‑super‑Mare Area

Overview

We are looking for a reliable Local Delivery Driver / Order Picker to join our small, friendly team. This is a physically demanding role in a fast‑paced warehouse environment, requiring accuracy, initiative and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

• Order Picking — Locate and retrieve products from designated storage areas


• Order Accuracy — Check the quality and correctness of each order


• Packing — Pack orders securely for safe transport


• Work Area Organisation — Maintain a clean and tidy workspace


• Cash Handling — Handle small amounts of cash when required


• Teamwork — Work with colleagues to meet daily targets

Skills \& Requirements

• Experience as a van driver or delivery driver is essential


• Strong understanding of written English is essential (accuracy is critical in this role)


• Good communication skills for working with colleagues and customers


• Good knowledge of Weston‑super‑Mare


• Qualified driver for at least 7 years


• Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points


• Ability to lift heavy items and carry out physical tasks for extended periods


• High attention to detail to avoid errors


• Must be able to reach BS23 without relying on public transport (due to early start times)

Hours of Work

• 7am – finish (typically 1pm–2pm)


• Monday to Saturday


• Two Saturdays off in every three


• When a Saturday is worked, one weekday off will be agreed with the Manager

Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent

Pay: £12\.71 per hour
