Delivery Van Driver Opportunity at Moriarty’s Super Valu, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin.

The Moriarty Group is an Irish owned company involved in both the Retail Grocery and Hospitality Industries. The company’s portfolio currently comprises of three large Super Valu Supermarkets in Balbriggan and Skerries in North County Dublin and Palmerstown, Dublin 20\. The company also owns two 4\* Hotels, the Bracken Court Hotel, Balbriggan, North County Dublin and the Courtyard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare. The company currently employee’s approximately 550 people.

The Moriarty Group of Super Valu's are 3 of the largest Super Valu stores in the Dublin area. We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Delivery Van Driver to work as part of our home delivery service team working between our Balbriggan and Skerries Stores.

If you have previous experience working as a Delivery Van Driver/Van Driver this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

The Role:

This is a full\-time position, working an average of 39/40 hours per week. The Delivery Van Driver will work 5 days over 6 per week \- predominantly between Monday to Saturday although Sunday work may be required at busy periods of the year/when store business levels require this e.g. Christmas.

Main Duties:

  • Work as part of the stores Home Delivery Service Team.

  • Delivering grocery orders to customers homes and local businesses using the store’s delivery van.

  • Providing an excellent level of customer service at all times.

  • Ensuring the delivery service runs efficiently.

  • Co\-ordinating the service with the checkout manager/Store Manager.

  • Ensuring the delivery van is kept in good condition.

  • HACCP Duties.
Requirements:
  • Must have a relevant full clean driving licence which covers driving a van.

  • Previous experience working as a van driver is essential.

  • Good knowledge of the local area would be an advantage although it is not essential.

  • Must have strong people skills.

  • Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken.

  • Must be able to multi\-task.

  • Must have strong communications skills.

  • Must have good organisational skills.

  • Must be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.

  • Must be available for early starts and weekend work.
