Deli Prep Assistant Part-time (mornings)

Job Description

Part\-time morning Deli assistant required for a busy fresh food deli.

We are an award winning busy Daybreak convenience store near Portlaoise by the M7 motorway. We are a friendly and supportive team and will provide full training.

We are looking for support staff to join our deli team, to help with food preparations in the mornings. You will be the food preperation staff for our deli service team and will report to the Deli Manager.

Duties will include;

• Prepping and chopping salads and vegetables


• Making and packing sandwiches and salads for our 'Food to Go' fridge


• Prepping bakery goods for display and sale each morning


• Keeping all areas clean and tidy to the highest standards


• Following HACCAP procedures

• Be systematic and structured


• Follow instructions


• Have good attention to detail

This is a part\-time, early morning position. 19 \-25 hours per week, 4 \-5 hours per day, Monday to Friday approx. 6\.30am \-11\.30am (some flexibility possible around times).

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Previous experience in a deli or food preparation is preferred, although on the job training will be provided.
