Day time Residential Support Worker

Job Summary

We are looking for dedicated children's home support workers in Aveley to be part of a team offering a comprehensive residential service to children and young people who have a diagnosed learning disability and associated challenging behaviours. The aim being to ensure the physical, social and emotional well\-being of the children/young people, and assist in their positive holistic development, we require passionate and driven people who want to make a significant difference to the lives of vulnerable children, supporting them with independence, being able to follow their support plans and behaviour support plans consistently and being able to develop a strong bond and trusting relationship.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care and household tasks.


• Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual’s needs.


• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care.


• Provide childcare support as required, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.


• Accompany children to appointments or activities as needed,


• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client’s condition to relevant parties.


• Utilise IT skills to manage documentation and communicate effectively within the team.

Skills

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with children and their families effectively.


• Experience in childcare or working with children is highly desirable.


• Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.


• Proficient IT skills for managing records and communication within the organisation.


• A compassionate nature with a commitment to promoting the dignity and independence of those you support.

Diploma level 3 in residential childcare desirable, or a willingness to complete this qualification in the time scale set in the Children's Homes Regulations 2015

The home is open 24hours a day 365 days a year, staff will be required to work holidays and weekends.

Pay: £13\.60\-£13\.80 per hour
