Ty Hafod Limited is looking for a full time carers for a small friendly Nursing home in Cardiff.

We currently have a vacancy for a care assistant position to come and work with our great team. This is a full time role which we anticipate to be 36 hours per week, day shifts only.

Main aims of the job

• To meet the personal needs of the residents.


• To observe and promote the resident's choice, independence, dignity, privacy, and other rights.


• To create and maintain good professional relationships with residents, their families, and friends.


• To assist in the general duties and activities of the home.


• To work alongside, and support your colleagues

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Have good judgment, problem\-solving, and decision making skills


• The ability to work flexible hours to meet the business needs


• Effective timekeeping and time management


• Have a genuine interest in older people


• The ability to work effectively within a team environment


• Be willing to participate in National Vocational Training Programmes


• Passionate about delivering outstanding care to older people


• NVQ Level 2, or working towards it.
