At Telenet, Data \& AI are recognized as the fuel \& engine under the hood that can improve everything in our business. Within the Data Acceleration Tribe \- the centralized data \& AI team in Telenet’s agile at\-scale organization \- our Data Strategists play a key role in shaping and executing our AI products.

Our Data Strategists are centralized and report into our AI team. They play a key role in our product strategy, with each individual data strategist leading the execution of one of our AI products and steering the day to day efforts of our data scientists and analysts to do so. This happens in close collaboration with business teams across Telenet (quarterly click\-in mechanism with business teams) on topics such as Customer Experience transformation, Segment\-of\-one marketing, Value\-based network roll\-out, and Strategic workforce intelligence.

For this specific role, the focus lies on Network \& Connectivity\-related topics within a telco environment, where understanding of network architecture, technical root causes and operations is key to driving impactful data use cases.

Typical scope of the Network \& Connectivity topics are e.g. network optimization, anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, smart investment strategy based on customer experience.

Your Key Roles \& Responsibilities as a Data Strategist

  • Drive execution of AI products, translating data strategy into impact in close collaboration with stakeholders

  • Provide clear direction on WHAT and WHY, shaping and prioritizing high\-value use cases with business leaders

  • Align stakeholders and manage expectations across business and data leadership

  • Inspire and challenge business teams to unlock data \& AI opportunities

  • Ensure optimal allocation of data resources to maximize business value

  • Translate network \& connectivity challenges into data\-driven solutions, bridging engineering and data teams

  • Strong stakeholder manager: assertive, with a clear vision, able to align senior leaders, technical teams, and external partners

  • Thrive in ambiguity by bringing structure, clarity, and prioritization
Your profile as a Data Strategist
  • Strong business and leadership skills with a clear understanding of how data drives value

  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and influencing skills; able to navigate complexity and ambiguity

  • Proven ability to lead small data teams and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver impact

  • Background in consulting is a plus (business cases, prioritization, stakeholder management)

  • Agile, proactive, and experienced in driving change

  • Engineering background (telecom/network) with understanding of network architecture

  • Telecom experience and affinity with data science (e.g. anomaly detection) are strong pluses

  • Fluent in English and Dutch

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) with 5–10 years’ experience
