£650-675/day overall assignment rate to umbrella

3-month initial contract

Working with a market leading client who have a requirement for a Data Solution Architect to design, lead and deliver scalable, enterprise-grade data platforms.

This role requires deep expertise in data architecture, dimensional data modelling (Kimball) and modern cloud-based data ecosystems (ideally Databricks).

Core Technical Expertise • Strong experience in data solution architecture within enterprise environments

• Proven hands-on expertise in data warehousing concepts and implementation


• Deep knowledge of Kimball dimensional modelling methodology.

Platforms & Tools • Experience with Databricks (preferred) or similar platforms: • Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse, or equivalent

• Strong proficiency with: • SQL (advanced level)


• Spark / PySpark


• Data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, ADF, etc.)

Data Modelling • Extensive experience designing: • Fact and dimension tables

• Star and snowflake schemas


• Aggregation layers and semantic models

Data Migration & Mapping • Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale data migration projects

• Strong capability in: • Source-to-target mapping


• Data transformation design


• Data reconciliation and validation techniques

Cloud & Architecture • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

• Understanding of lakehouse architectures and hybrid data platforms

Desirable

• Experience with medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold layers)


• Knowledge of data governance tools (e.g., Purview, Collibra)


• Exposure to real-time/streaming data pipelines


• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
