Data Quality Officer \| Clerical Officer Grade IV

Temporary (4 month) Contract, Part Time Hours.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Data Quality \- review and cleanse data associated with referrals, waiting lists and appointments.

  • Validation of Mercy University Hospital (MUH) data.

  • Gain and maintain knowledge on iPMS upgrades and SDU update.

  • Implementation of SDU protocols in relation to waiting times, e.g. follow up with Medical Secretary on referrals that are outside of Triage Time.

  • Escalation of data issues to Administrative Services Manager, OSMG, Divisional Lead and the Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2\) of the Outpatients Department (OPD).

  • Follow up and close out on data errors, and advise on training in relation to repeat data errors.

  • Follow data protection guidelines to ensure that all MUH data adheres to best practice in information governance and data protection.

  • Compiled data must follow set SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) as set by members of the different governance groups.

  • Assist in compiling regular reports for Departmental Heads and relevant Committees.

  • Attend all meetings external and internal pertaining to MUH data protection as required.

  • Attend OSMG meetings, and Healthcare Records Management meetings as requested by the Healthcare Records Manager.

  • Attend meetings in relation to the GP electronic referrals.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Previous administrative experience of at least 2 years.

  • Excellent Communication, Organisational and Time Management skills.

  • Ability to work on one's own initiative or in a team environment.

  • Experience of iPMS essential desirable.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Possess excellent IT skills.

  • Experience of problem solving and decision making.

  • Knowledge of MUH, SDU guidelines and breach management.

  • Ability to prioritise data requirements and reduce inaccurate MUH data.
