<h3><strong>The Role</strong></h3>
<p>We’re looking for a Data Engineer to contribute to our Open Intelligence data initiative, helping to build and maintain our core data capabilities. You’ll play a key role in building and maintaining the data connectors that feed data to Open Intelligence. This role requires good communication skills and an understanding of brand, adtech, and marketing data, as well as the benefits of well-engineered data pipelines. You will contribute to creating systems that keep our global media ecosystem running, ensuring that data is reliable, scalable, and reflects the needs of the business.</p>
<p>This is a hands-on technical role for someone who is comfortable delivering reliable data solutions and is eager to leverage new development and testing technologies. You will collaborate closely with team members and product stakeholders to ensure our data infrastructure meets evolving business needs.</p>
<p>The role is in our lovely Copenhagen offices at Nørrebro, where you will join a larger team of roughly 50 people working on Open Intelligence.</p>
<h3><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Build, manage and maintain data extraction pipelines with the help of AI coding assistants.</li>
<li>Pre-aggregate data in clean rooms using SQL-dialects when client or partner concerns demand it.</li>
<li>Fetch data through REST APIs using Python or Node.js when needed.</li>
<li>Collaborate with our Product organization regarding the addition of new data sources or changes to existing ones, and translate those requirements into maintainable code.</li>
<li>Contribute to identifying and addressing technical debt and inefficiencies within our data platform.</li>
<li>Support our regional teams in following best practices for adding their local datasets to Open Intelligence.</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with analysts and data scientists who leverage Open Intelligence, to make sure that data connectors work as expected.</li>
<li>Contribute to designing and building strong data governance and quality frameworks to ensure connectors produced are accurate and work consistently throughout their lifetime.</li>
<li>Stay curious, explore new tools, techniques, and technologies that can help us move faster and smarter.</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>What You’ll Bring</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Strong communication skills — you can effectively explain technical concepts to various audiences.</li>
<li>2-4 years of experience in data engineering.</li>
<li>Familiarity with adtech- and/or martech data and terminology.</li>
<li>Interest in leveraging AI coding assistants and prompt engineering to enhance productivity.</li>
<li>Solid experience with data wrangling in a language such as SQL, Python, or Scala.</li>
<li>Interest in applying or learning the Scala language for data processing.</li>
<li>Understanding of strongly typed computer languages and compilers, and an appreciation for finding data processing errors early.</li>
<li>Proficiency in one or more modern data ecosystems — e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, InfoSum, or Redshift.</li>
<li>Experience working with CI/CD, version control, and testing best practices.</li>
<li>Experience with cloud-based platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure, and deployment abstractions like Docker or Terraform.</li>
<li>A passion for data, technology, and computer languages.</li>
<li>A proactive approach to solving problems and improving systems.</li>
