TMC Luxembourg is looking for a Data Engineer ETL/Streaming (F/M) for one of its clients.

As part of a strategic Proof of Concept to be launched this summer, you will work within a data team on the implementation and validation of a data processing platform focused on ETL/ELT and streaming. This PoC is intended to evolve into a long\-term project (full\-time) starting next year.

You will contribute to the design, development, and industrialization of data pipelines, with a strong emphasis on real\-time ingestion and data replication. The technical environment is based on solutions such as IBM (Watsonx Data Integration, DataStage, Data Replication), streaming technologies like Kafka, as well as modern data platforms such as Cloudera (Hive, Kafka).

The position is set in an international and collaborative context, with regular interactions during workshops, testing phases, and deliveries. A hybrid organization is planned, with on\-site presence required at key project stages.

What we expect from you
---------------------------

• Significant experience in data engineering with a focus on ETL/ELT


• Proficiency with IBM DataStage and/or IBM Watsonx Data Integration


• Knowledge of data replication / Change Data Capture (CDC)


• Experience with Kafka and streaming data architectures


• Good understanding of databases like DB2, Oracle, SQL Server


• Experience with Cloudera Data Platform environments, particularly Hive and Kafka


• Knowledge of modern data formats, ideally Iceberg


• Ability to design and optimize batch and real\-time data pipelines


• Good understanding of performance, data quality, and data governance challenges


• Ability to work in an Agile and collaborative environment


• Autonomy, analytical mindset, and ability to contribute to an evolving PoC
