Job Description
We are looking for a Data \& AI Analyst to help IDEA Consult and its clients identify, design and implement valuable data and AI solutions. This is a hybrid role combining consultancy and hands\-on technical development. You will develop tools where data, AI and automation can create value, and contribute to building the resulting solutions. You will work across the full solution lifecycle: from designing an AI solution, developing prototypes and preparing successful applications for reliable use. Your work may include AI\-supported research, document analysis, knowledge retrieval, automated data processing, analytical assistants, reporting workflows and decision\-support tools.

Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritise opportunities for data, AI and automation.
- Develop applications, data pipelines, and agentic workflows.
- Build and maintain data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
- Work with relational databases, SQL, NoSQL solutions, vector databases and semantic search.
- Connect AI models with documents, databases, APIs and external tools.
- Develop prototypes and turn successful ideas into reliable and reusable solutions. Use analytics to validate assumptions, evaluate outputs and measure added value.
- Build digital tools using Python, web applications and other appropriate technologies.
- Collaborate with policy experts, consultants, data scientists and developers. Explain technical concepts, choices and limitations clearly to non\-technical colleagues and clients. Where relevant, contribute to project management and client interactions.
Who are you
- You are fully proficient in Dutch, both spoken and written. A strong and fluent working knowledge of English is required (C1 or C2\).
- You have strong Python skills.
- You understand the fundamentals of AI applications and large language models. You are interested in agentic workflows, tool use, automation and technologies such as RAG and MCPs.
- You play with relational databases, SQL and vector databases. You understand the fundamentals of data processing, data quality and data pipelines.
- You have a strong analytical mindset and enjoy solving complex and sometimes ambiguous problems.
- You communicate clearly and enjoy working with both technical and non\-technical stakeholders.
- You are curious, pragmatic, proactive and eager to learn.
