This is NOT an IT tech role. This is NOT a generic office admin or call center job.
We do not care if you can manage a retail shop, a kitchen, or an IT helpdesk. If you do not know the difference between a patch repair, a picote machine, and a CCTV mainline survey, do not apply. You will not pass the first round.

Are you an experienced Drainage Engineer looking to get off the tools?
If you know the drainage trade inside out but your body is tired of being out in the cold, rain, and down manholes, this is your next step.
We are Civil Connect Drainage, and we need a sharp, industry\-savvy professional to take absolute control of our daily office operations in Borehamwood. You won't be out in a van, but you *will* be the technical backbone of our company—managing the workflow, talking to customers with authority, and keeping our engineers on the road organized.
What You Will Do (Running the Office):
- Technical Customer Service: Take incoming calls, confidently diagnose drainage issues over the phone, accurately scope the works, and book jobs into the digital diary.
- Engineer Scheduling \& Logistics: Manage the daily diary for the road engineers. Ensure they have the correct kit scheduled for their specific jobs each morning to prevent site errors.
- Quality Control: Review and sign off on the engineers’ CCTV footage and drainage reports (using iTouch camera systems) to ensure they are 100% accurate before they go to the client.
- Technical Support: Act as the "go\-to" person for the guys on the road. If an engineer hits a brick wall on\-site, you are the brains who helps them solve it.
- Asset Protection: Educate and oversee the engineers to ensure valuable equipment is never left in vehicles overnight and is locked securely in our dedicated storage unit.
- Minimum 5\+ years of hands\-on drainage experience (Jetting, CCTV, unblocks, lining, excavation). You must understand the terminology, the kit, and how long jobs actually take.
- Excellent Communication Skills: You must be sharp, polite, and authoritative when dealing with both high\-end commercial clients and domestic customers.
- Tech\-Literate: Comfortable using digital diaries, booking software, and reviewing digital video footage (we will train you on our specific software).
- Commute: Must live within a reliable, daily driving distance of Borehamwood.
- Free on\-site parking
- Casual dress code
- Secure, stable indoor role with a transparent, honest team
- No weekend or Bank Holiday work
